Mr. Ahmed Jamal Iddrisu is a chartered Banker, a finance expert and a lecturer at the Department of Banking and Finance, University of professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) with over twenty- two years’ experience in industry, teaching and research. Before joining the University, Mr. Iddrisu worked in both private and public sector organizations. Mr. Iddrisu started his career in banking with Metropolitan and Allied Bank, City Financial Services in the UK, Economic and Organized Crime Office, Management Development and Productivity Institute. He also worked at the National Board for Small Scale Industry as the Director, Investment and Credit.

Mr. Iddrisu is currently pursuing his PhD studies in Leadership and Mangement with the Management University of Africa, Kenya. He holds an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Lincoln Business School UK, Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast. He has some publications in reputable journals to his name. His research areas include development finance, leadership and corporate governance in financial institutions, entrepreneurship development and finance, public administration and management especially in local governance.

As his service to community, Mr. Iddrisu serves as a patron of some Non- Governmental Organizations as well as mentor for some start up businesses. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, General Teaching Council of England and Wales, Qualified Teacher Status of England and Wales.
