Afia Agyeman Amponsah-Mensah is an Assistant Lecturer at the UPSA Law School and the Board Secretary of the UPSA African, International and Comparative Law Journal. She has an LLB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. After obtaining her LLB., she went on to pursue an LLM in the same institution writing a thesis on “Mobile Money in Ghana; The need for a Regulatory framework” which was considered as one of the best papers of her graduating class.

Prior to her appointment at UPSA, Ms. Amponsah-Mensah worked with various institutions and firms such as Kwame Boafo and Associates, a law firm in Kumasi, and Ghana Union Assurance Company Ltd, one of the top insurance companies in Ghana, and the State Protocol Department in Accra. She also worked as a News Reporter on the Legal and Political Desk and an in-house panelist on constitutional and other legal issues and events such as the Ayawaso-West Wuogon Commission of Inquiry. She is a product of Ghana International School, Cantonments, Accra.
