Prof Okoe Amartey adjudged ‘Most Respected CEO’ for the second time

  • Date December 2, 2019
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Professor Abednego Feehi Okoe Amartey has been adjudged the “Most Respected CEO” in the education sector at the 2019 Ghana Industry CEO Awards.

This is second time the CEO of the UPSA has won the coveted award after winning it in 2018.

The awards ceremony, held in Accra on Friday, November 29, 2019, aimed at identifying and publicly recognizing exceptional Chief Executive Officers in corporate Ghana across a wide range of sectors.

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor of UPSA, Professor Charles Banor, who received the award on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, expressed his gratitude to the organisers for the recognition.

He said UPSA remains committed to its mission of providing and promoting quality higher education and training in management and other related disciplines by leveraging a structured mix of scholarship and professionalism.

“We are also on course to becoming a world class education provider in both academic and professional disciplines, nationally entrenched, regionally recognized and globally relevant,” Prof. Banor said.

The Ghana Industry CEO Awards is an annual event and an initiative by The Business Executive (TBE) Magazine directed at encouraging improved corporate governance and institutional leadership across the public and private sectors.

This year’s edition was under the theme ‘Good Corporate Governance: Practices and Prospects in Ghana.’
