Prof. Mawutor engages UPSA Alumni leadership, calls for stronger collaboration

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Prof. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, has urged the leadership of the UPSA Alumni Association to foster unity among its members and work together to promote the interests of the university.

He made the call when the leadership of the group, led by Dr. Abdulai Munkaila, paid a courtesy visit to his office on Friday, February 7.

The delegation congratulated Prof. Mawutor on his appointment and recent induction into office as Vice-Chancellor and assured him of their unwavering support.

Prof. Mawutor expressed his gratitude to the alumni for their continuous support over the years, acknowledging their significant contributions to the university’s growth.

He described the alumni as an important stakeholder group and emphasised the crucial role they play in the development of UPSA.

“I appreciate the commitment of our alumni and their invaluable contributions to the university,” Prof Mawutor stated. “It is essential that we bridge any existing gaps among our alumni and come together as a united front to advance the vision of UPSA.”

On their part, the leadership of the UPSA Alumni Association reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Vice-Chancellor in his efforts to enhance the university’s reputation and academic excellence.

They pledged to work closely with the university administration to strengthen alumni relations and contribute meaningfully to UPSA’s advancement.

The engagement by the Vice Chancellor marks an important step in strengthening ties between the university and its alumni, fostering collaboration for mutual growth and development.
