Presec Headmaster Calls on Vice-Chancellor

The brief meeting between the two heads centered on fostering good community relations and building strong academic ties with mutual benefit to both institutions.

Mr Odjidja, who came in the company of other senior members of his school, said his visit was also to introduce himself to the Vice-Chancellor with whom he shared a common boundary.

“As customs demands, it is important to introduce yourself to your immediate neighbours whenever you visit a new environment,” he said.

Welcoming the new headmaster, Prof Okoe Amartey said: “I welcome you to the hot seat and encourage you to contribute your best to total well-being of your school. We, as a University will also offer you with the needed assistance any time you call on us.”

The Vice-Chancellor also recounted the cozy relationship that has existed between the two schools over the years and called on the newly-transferred head to maintain same.

“These two neighbouring institutions have lived in harmony and operated at different levels. It is my wish that you’ll continue with the peaceful co-existence that we have enjoyed over the years,” Prof Amartey stressed.

The occasion was also used to discuss ways of improving the sanitation conditions in the area.

Mr Odjidja thanked the University for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage. He expressed optimism about the deliberations.

The entourage from PRESEC included Mr George Kwaku Ankomah (Assistant Head, Domestic), Mr Emmanuel Akyemvi (Assistant Head, Administration), Mr Paul Kofi Yesu Dadzie (Senior Housemaster) and Madam Michaelina Quaye (School Counsellor).
