The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), highlights ethical leadership as a central focus of its 60th anniversary celebrations by introducing its maiden Ghana Business Leaders’ Conclave.
The initiative is designed to bring together some of the nation’s most influential decision-makers for a rare engagement on leadership philosophy, peace-building, and governance.
The Conclave is scheduled for Friday, 15 May 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Kofi Ohene-Konadu Auditorium (KOKA) on the UPSA campus.
Titled “Ghana Business Leaders’ Conclave: A Time with His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene”, the event forms a key part of the UPSA@60 celebration. It draws on the experience and stature of the Asantehene, a distinguished alumnus of the University, widely respected for his work in negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution, and ethical leadership.
The Conclave will be delivered in two sessions. The first is an invitation-only, closed-door, high-level dialogue bringing together chief executive officers, managing directors, board leaders, and senior industry figures.
This session will focus on how leaders can build resilient institutions, particularly in situations where competing interests and reputational risks are high.
The second session will be a public lecture open to students, faculty, professionals, organised groups, and the general public. It will be held on the theme “Leading with Integrity: Negotiation, Mediation and Ethical Governance for Business Sustainability”.
Anchored on the anniversary theme, “Six Decades of Transformative Education: Empowering Africa’s Future Business Leaders,” UPSA@60 celebrates a legacy of academic excellence and professionalism while projecting the ethical, industry-relevant leadership needed for Africa’s next phase of growth.
The Ghana Business Leaders’ Conclave is expected to be both a high-level engagement and a thought-provoking public intellectual experience that will challenge assumptions, spark national conversation, and strengthen the leadership capacity of current and future business leaders.
