Notice Guidelines For Supplementary Resit Examinations – 2025/2026 Academic Year

All Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate Final Year students are to take note of the following important guidelines for the Supplementary Resit Examinations for the 2025/2026 academic year:

1. Eligibility to Write the Supplementary Resit Examinations

  • Final Year Postgraduate students, including students pursuing one-year master’s degree programmes
  • Undergraduate Level 400 Students
  • Diploma Year Two Students

Note:  Students who completed their programmes of study before the 2025/2026 academic year, as well as amnesty students, are not allowed to register for or take the Supplementary Resit Examinations.

2. Courses to be fielded for the supplementary resit examinations

  • Postgraduate – Final Year first and second semester courses only
  • Undergraduate -Level 400 first semester and second semester courses only
  • Diploma – Final Year (Year Two) first and second semester courses only

3. Students may register for a maximum of fifteen credit hours only

A maximum of five (5) final year courses may be registered for the supplementary resit examination, irrespective of the semester in which the paper was failed.

4. Resit registration is for only failed courses (i.e. Grades D, F, Z, X, IC)

5. Payment for resit papers:

  • Each credit hour of a supplementary resit paper attracts a fee of GH₵160.00.
  • Pay the appropriate fee at Access Bank and disburse on UFIS
  • List the course(s) code(s), title and contact number on the disbursement sheet.
  • Submit the disbursement sheet with a copy of your unofficial transcript to Room 59, Last Floor of Seidu Mustapha Wing.

6. The registration period for supplementary resit papers is Monday, 24th August, 2026 to Friday, 28th August, 2026. No late registration will be entertained.

7. Period of Supplementary Examination

The supplementary resit examinations will be held from Monday, 14th September to Sunday, 27th September, 2026. The timetable for the examinations will be released two days after the registration ends on Friday, 28th August 2026. Students should report any clashes on the examination timetables through the email address: [email protected].

All final year students who have failed papers to resit are to take note of the above guidelines and comply accordingly.
