Miss Ghana 2025, Jutta Ama Pokuah Addo, has partnered with the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), to launch a campaign aimed at raising awareness of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) among female students and staff of the University.
The initiative, dubbed “Her Health, Her Power: PCOS Awareness and Empowerment”, seeks to increase knowledge and understanding of PCOS while providing access to expert medical insights on symptoms, management, and long-term health impact.
The campaign also aims to break the stigma and myths surrounding women’s reproductive health and encourage healthy lifestyle practices through interactive and engaging activities.

Speaking at a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor on Wednesday, August 27, Miss Jutta Addo emphasised the importance of prioritising women’s health and empowering young women with accurate information.
“This campaign is designed to empower women with lifestyle tools to manage their health while establishing a supportive student network that fosters open dialogue, breaks stigma, and encourages early intervention on reproductive health issues,” she said.

Vice-Chancellor of UPSA, Prof. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, welcomed the collaboration and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting initiatives that positively impact students and the wider community.
He further linked the campaign to the institution’s vision of redefining the value of internships to include community service and family enterprise support.

“Internships should be meaningful and impactful to students and the immediate communities in which the university operates. That is why, at UPSA, we want to redefine internships to include community service and even services to family enterprises,” Prof. Mawutor stated.
He added that the university will continue to embrace partnerships that promote student well-being and holistic development.
