The Registrar of Midlands State University in Zimbabwe, Mr. Tinashe Zishiri, has paid a familiarisation visit to the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), as part of efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and institutional partnerships between the two universities.
The visit on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, focused on understanding UPSA’s operational structure, benchmarking best practices, and exploring avenues for collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
Mr Zishiri was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor of UPSA, Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, and the Registrar, Mrs Lorraine Gyan.

The discussions centred on the university’s governance systems, administrative processes, and academic programmes, as well as its growing international profile.
Professor Mawutor commended Mr Zishiri for the visit and expressed optimism that it would pave the way for productive partnerships and knowledge exchange between the two institutions.
“We hope to build strong partnerships that promote institutional development and enhance international collaboration,” Prof. Mawutor said.

On his part, Mr Zishiri expressed his admiration for UPSA’s progress and achievements, noting that the visit provided valuable insights into innovative management practices and educational strategies that could be replicated at Midlands State University.
Present at the meeting was Mr Nicholas Adjei, Director of Finance of UPSA.
