Maud Adjeley Ashong Elliot, a lecturer in the Information Technology Studies Department at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), has been elected as the first female president of the Internet Society Ghana Chapter.
Her historic election marks a significant milestone in the chapter’s efforts to promote inclusivity and gender diversity within the technology and internet governance space in Ghana.
It also underscores UPSA’s commitment to excellence, showcasing the university’s role in nurturing leaders who shape national and global development.
Mrs. Ashong Elliot, known for her expertise in information technology and advocacy for digital literacy, will lead efforts to foster an open, secure, and globally connected internet.
