The Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), has organised a one-day orientation for newly admitted professional students to prepare them for academic and professional life on campus.
The orientation session, held on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, brought together about 800 students enrolled on various professional certification tracks and the UPSA Access Programme.
Director of IPS, Prof. Fidelis Quansah congratulated the students for enrolling in the Access Programme and formally welcomed them into the University community.

She emphasised the importance of the orientation, noting that it would help them “find their feet in the University and also help you to start right.”
Prof. Quansah reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to developing industry-ready professionals through globally recognised certifications and practical, market-driven education.
She explained that IPS provides all-inclusive tuition, training and continuous academic support to students pursuing professional qualifications across diverse sectors.

“At IPS, we provide comprehensive tuition, training and ongoing support to assist you in pursuing professional certifications across diverse industries. Our programmes equip you with the knowledge, skills and credentials necessary to advance your careers and emerge as leaders in your fields,” Prof. Quansah said.
She further highlighted that the UPSA Access Programme offers students the opportunity to rewrite failed WASSCE papers while simultaneously pursuing professional programmes, enabling them to progress academically without losing a year.
Describing the Institute as more than an education provider, Prof. Quansah said IPS serves as a catalyst for students’ professional success.
