GRASAG-UPSA Donates To Foster Home

  • Date November 4, 2017

A team of graduate students led by Ms Patience Desiree Monfakye,  Women’s Commissioner of the Graduate Students’ Association Ghana (GRASAG), UPSA Chapter has made donations in items worth GH₵8,000 to the Christ Faith Foster Home Orphanage in Fafraha in the Greater Accra Region.

Ms Monfakye indicated that the donation was aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the children of the orphanage during the Easter, a period of joy for the Christian community.

She said, “the Women’s Commissioner together with the executives of GRASAG, embarked on this humanitarian activity to give the children our utmost support, love, motivation and above all, fraternize with them. The Commission believes that the support shown will go a long way to support the children and the orphanage.”

She indicated that the donation will not be their last and made a call to organizations and individuals who are capable of supporting orphanages to do so.

Advising the children, Rev. Father Jeffrey who officiated the donation, had this to say, “God in his path has created you in such a way that you will also be able to get to your destination of prosperity, health, peace and of a good relationship with him.”

Items donated included books, pens, pencils, detergents, brooms, mops, buckets, rice, sugar, toiletries, drinks, biscuits, new clothes, milk, milo, reading materials for kids, brushes, watercolours for painting and whiteboard markers.

Mr Abraham Danso, a coordinator at the home, who received the donation on behalf of the orphanage expressed his profound gratitude to the donors.
