Final Year Student Wins Best Actor at UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards
A final year student of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Anthony Woode has won the Best Actor Award at the just ended 2018 UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards.
The event, which was held at the Knutsford University at East Legon in Accra on Friday, November 21, 2018, brought together hundreds of Ghanaian showbiz industry players, students as well as a number of stars from the country.
Anthony Woode is studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations Management.
The promising Ghanaian actor who was elated by the award assured all those who supported him of more striking milestones in the coming years.
As an Actor, Anthony Woode has featured in a number of movies and worked with topmost actors and directors both in Ghana and Nigeria. He has featured in movies such as Announcement, Watch Dogs, Butterfly TV Series, WhatsApp Online TV Series, Heels and Sneakers and Shampagne Season 2.
Others include Living with Trisha TV Series, Ramadan movie, 40 and Single, Yaafo as well as Bitter Sweet Wine.
His latest production, Akwaaba, however, is yet to be released and would be shown across all universities in Ghana according to the young movie star.
The Ghana Tertiary Awards seeks to honour students whose lives have impacted on society positively through their contributions in their chosen field of work.
The awards scheme is the brainchild of Youth Web Group, a budding events company with sponsorship from the UMB Bank.
