Final Year Public Relations Class Donates To Department
Final year students of the Public Relations Strategy and Campaign Planning class have donated assorted items to the Department of Public Relations Management as part of gestures to express their appreciation to the departmental handlers for their immense contribution towards achieving effective teaching-learning throughout their four-year study.
The brief donation ceremony which took place at the foyer of the PR Department on Thursday, February 14, 2019, was also to motivate other staff of the department to give out their best in the discharge of their duties.
Presenting the items, the Course Representative, Hannah Nkansah noted that ‘anyone performing a good deed deserves a push’ hence the move to refresh staff of the department. She also hinted that the inspiration to embark on such a generous mission was birthed by their lecturer, Mr Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku.
The items included packs of bottled water, crates of assorted drinks, and boxes of chocolate which according to the group was to commemorate the national chocolate day which falls on February 14, each year.
The Head of Department, Dr Kweku Rockson who received the items on behalf of the department thanked the students for their kind gesture and called for further collaborations between the two important stakeholders.
Dr Rockson also urged them to translate the knowledge acquired in school to any field they might find themselves in the future.
Present at the ceremony were the Dean of the Faculty of the Information Technology and Communications Studies (ITCS), Dr John Bosco Damnyag and his Faculty Officer, Bob Nakuku Baduon.
The others included the Public Relations Departmental Officer, Mrs Belinda Evelyn Adzomani and Mr Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, a lecturer at the PR department and webmaster of the University.
