The Faculty of Accounting and Finance (FAF) of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, has honoured four distinguished industry leaders at the maiden FAF Eminent Achievement Awards held on Friday, November 14, 2025.
The honourees were Naa Alhassan Andani, Founder and Executive Chairman of LVSafrica Limited; Mr Winfred Kwasi Dodzih, Permanent Secretary General of the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme; Mr Frank Brako Adu Jr, Chairman and Co-Founder of The Roman Ridge School; and Mr Edward Effah, Founder and former Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Ghana Ltd.
They were recognised for their exceptional contributions to accounting, finance, banking, and economics, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to honouring leaders whose innovation and ethical service have shaped national development.

The award also aimed at celebrating visionaries whose professional excellence has influenced policy, strengthened institutions, and inspired practitioners and students across generations.
Two institutions also received special honours: Abokobi Area Rural Bank Plc, awarded for excellence in community banking and sustainable social investment, and Juaben Rural Bank Plc, recognised for outstanding community impact and sustainable development.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Emmanuel Selase Asamoah, who delivered the welcome address on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, underscored the University’s commitment to celebrating transformative leaders.

“At the University of Professional Studies, Accra, true education transcends the classroom; it is about shaping minds, nurturing values, and inspiring lives that make meaningful contributions to society,” he said.
“This event stands as a testament to our collective commitment to excellence and the power of visionary leadership to shape the future of our professions.”
Dean of FAF, Prof. Isaac Boadi, expressed appreciation to the university’s management for endorsing the initiative.
He noted that the awards affirm the Faculty’s dedication to bridging academia and industry and celebrating leaders whose careers embody innovation, integrity, and impact.

The event, held under the theme “Recognising Trailblazers: Driving Excellence and Transformation in Accounting, Finance, and Economics”, brought together academics, industry professionals, students, and traditional leaders.
The ceremony was chaired by Nana Appiagyei Dankawoso I, Omanhene Kyeame of the Juaben Traditional Area, who commended the faculty for institutionalising an award scheme that highlights impactful leadership within the financial and economic sectors.
