Faculty of Accounting & Finance Celebrates Week Long Activities

The Faculty of Accounting and Finance (FAF) has celebrated a successful week of activities on the theme, “Raising Professionals with Integrity for National Development.”

The main speaker at the official launch to kick start the week, was Mr Daniel Domelevo, the Auditor General of Ghana. Mr Domelevo who is an alumnus of the University spoke extensively on the need for integrity in professionalism for national development.

Also speaking on the same was Mr Collins Agyemang Sarpong, President of the Ghana Institute of Procurement & Supply.

Time with professional bodies featured Dr Kweku Nduom, General Manager of Nduom Group of Companies and the son of the prominent Ghanaian entrepreneur and politician, Dr Nduom.  His topic was how to become a better entrepreneur and thrive in today’s business environment.

The FAF week continued with a professional day and job fair, which was aimed at acquainting students with professionals in the corporate world, to give them the opportunity to network, engage in experiential learning, and also take advantage of internship and employment opportunities.

The Small Business Seminar, which was FAF’s corporate social responsibility engagement, was aimed at training entrepreneurs in the University community on Financial Record Keeping, Writing a Business Plan, Business Registration, Accessing Credit and Tax Issues.

Student of the faculty crowned the week-long celebrations with a fun trip to the Dodowa Forest Hotel.
