Faculty of Accounting and UPSA Global Alumni Association honour Dr Kwadjo Obeng

The UPSA Global Alumni has presented a citation of recognition to Dr Kwadjo Obeng, an illustrious alumnus of the ’89 Year Group and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, for his dedicated service to UPSA.

Dr Obeng, who is due for retirement this year after 20 years of service as a lecturer and administrator, leaves the University with much pride and fulfillment, having impacted many students and staff over the years.

He has, over the years, also worked in various capacities in the private sector, including his role as Audit Senior at KPMG, and currently, as the Chairperson of the Audit Committee of the Medical and Dental Council.

His recognition by the UPSA Global Alumni follows a similar gesture by the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, which awarded Dr Obeng for his dedicated service at the Third Session of the 14th Congregation of the University.

Mr. Francis Dadzie, the Alumni President, praised Dr. Kwadjo Obeng’s immense contribution to the public and private sectors during a brief ceremony held at the UPSA Global Alumni office in Accra.

He also acknowledged Mr Obeng’s invaluable wealth of experience, which he said would be tapped into even as he retires from active duty.

Responding to the gesture, Mr Obeng thanked the Association and the Faculty for the recognition.

He said his selfless service to the UPSA should be a motivation to the younger generation who aspire to build a prosperous career whilst contributing their quota to the development of the nation.
