Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has urged graduates of the University of Professional Studies, Accra, to pursue their dreams with unwavering determination and faith.

He emphasised the possibilities that await those who dare to dream and work towards a brighter future.

Dr Adutwum made the remarks in an address to the 2024 graduating class of the UPSA School of Graduate Studies.

A total of 906 students graduated with various PhD and master’s degrees at the fourth session of the 16th Congregation ceremony, which was held on Friday, November 1.

They are among some 5,247 students set to complete their studies at the university this year.

The graduating students comprised 18 PhD students, 33 Master of Philosophy students, 652 Master of Business Administration students, 116 Master of Arts students, and 87 Master of Science students.

Dr. Adutwum encouraged the graduates to embrace what he described as the “new Ghana,” where aspirations can indeed become reality.

“As Minister of Education, I believe in a new Ghana where dreams come true,” he stated. “I urge each of you to go forth and pursue your dreams.”

He emphasised the importance of resilience and faith, sharing his conviction that life, while miraculous, requires effort and divine guidance.

“Life is a miracle,” he said. “But it’s a miracle you work out with the help of God. When you have a fierce determination, great things happen no matter where you find yourself. With God on your side, your life can become a miracle unto others.”

Dr. Adutwum reminded the graduates that positive change is within their reach and urged them to leave a meaningful impact wherever they go.

“Change is possible. When you are fully confident that you can change, you can truly transform,” he added. “Step into a space and make sure you change the space. That’s how you leave a lasting legacy and a lasting impression.”
