ComSSA-UPSA adjudged Most Outstanding Student Chapter in Ghana

  • Date January 27, 2022

The UPSA chapter of the Communication Studies Students Association (ComSSA), has been adjudged the Most Outstanding Student Chapter at the National Public Relations and Communications Excellence Awards 2021 held over the weekend at Akosombo.

The awards are under the auspices of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR-Ghana).

ComSSA-UPSA was recognised for its contributions toward the promotion of the Public Relations profession and for developing and implementing innovative year-round public relations engagements with the student community and the general public.

This is the second time ComSSA has been recognised by the IPR-Ghana, having picked up a similar award in 2020.

Patron of the ComSSA UPSA, Mr. Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, commended the student body for lifting high the flag of the University. He also expressed his gratitude to the Department of Communication Studies and the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Studies for their unwavering support for the group and its programmes.

The annual PR and Communications Excellence Awards is organised by the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) and rewards distinguished members and institutions who have excelled in the field of PR & Communications.

This year’s event was held on the theme ‘Truth Well Told and Shared’.
