CIMA donates Notice Board to IPS Directorate of UPSA

  • Date September 29, 2019

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Ghana has donated a standard notice board to the Institute of Professional Studies Directorate of the University.

The donation was in response to a request made by the Head of Department (HoD) of Banking and Finance, Dr. Edward Attah-Botchway, to replace the previous notice board, which was old.

At a brief hand-over ceremony, Mr. Paul Aninakwah, Associate Director, CIMA said the donation was part of CIMA’s Corporate Social Responsibility to the University.  The donation comes at a time when all students are obliged to undertake a professional programme in addition to their degree programme.

Mr. Aninakwah encouraged students to take the professional courses serious, as qualification in the professional courses will make them competitive on the job market after graduation.

According to Dr. Attah-Botchway, the new notice board will help in publicizing relevant information, especially relating to the registration process of professional programmes, such as CIMA, IPR, ACCA and CIM among others.

The ceremony was attended by students and lecturers, as well as Mr. Osman Musah, Business Development Manager, CIMA.
