The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), through its 60th Anniversary Planning Committee and Management, has paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II. The visit, which took place on Thursday, 7 May 2026, formed part of activities marking the University’s diamond jubilee celebration.
Led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, the delegation visited the Ga Traditional Council to formally invite the Ga Mantse to the Ghana Business Leaders’ Conclave, scheduled for Friday, 15 May 2026.
The Conclave is one of the flagship events of UPSA’s 60th Anniversary celebration and is expected to convene distinguished business executives, policymakers, academics, industry leaders and other key stakeholders for high-level conversations on business leadership, innovation, ethical governance and national development.

The delegation was warmly received by His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council. Also present were Nii Ahele Nunoo III, Abola Paramount Chief, and Ambassador Sylvester Parker Allottey, Chief of Protocol and Communication.
During the engagement, Professor Mawutor and members of the UPSA@60 Planning Committee highlighted the significance of the Ghana Business Leaders’ Conclave as a platform for deepening dialogue between academia, industry and national leadership.
They noted that the event reflects UPSA’s commitment to producing business-oriented graduates, promoting thought leadership and contributing meaningfully to Ghana’s development agenda through strategic partnerships.

The delegation also underscored the University’s appreciation of traditional leadership as an important pillar of national cohesion, cultural identity and development. They said UPSA remains committed to strengthening its relationship with traditional authorities as part of its broader institutional vision.
His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II commended UPSA for its contribution to higher education and professional development in Ghana over the past six decades.
He expressed appreciation for the invitation and lauded the University for recognising the role of traditional leadership in national development and institutional partnership.
The courtesy call reflects UPSA’s continued efforts to build strong relationships with key national stakeholders as it celebrates 60 years of scholarship, professionalism and impact.
