The University of Professional Studies, Accra continues to champion the values of excellence and integrity, not only in academics but also in personal presentation. The Office of the Dean of Student Affairs formally recognized two distinguished students who have set a high standard for their peers by serving as beacons of professionalism and decency in their daily attire.
In a brief but colorful ceremony, the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs awarded the “Best Dressed Student” for the month of April. The honorees, selected for their consistent adherence to the university’s grooming standards and professional poise, are Mr. Osei Ebenezer Kofi, a Level 400 BSc. Accounting student, and Ms. Hassana Abubakar, a Level 200 BSc. Transport and Logistics Management student.

The event was attended by several key members of the university administration and student leadership, including Prof. Philomena Dadzie, Dean of Student Affairs; Prof. Kumadzi, Vice Dean of Student Affairs; Mr. Francis Ahli, SRC Financial Controller; and Mr. Carl Fidelis, Chairman of the Council of Course Representatives (COCR).

In her keynote remarks, Prof. Philomena Dadzie commended the awardees for their discipline and exemplary conduct. She noted that the way students present themselves serves as a silent reflection of their readiness for the professional world. Prof. Kumadzi echoed these sentiments, encouraging the awardees to maintain these high standards as they transition from the lecture halls into their respective industries. He further urged them to inspire their colleagues and continue projecting a positive image of the university. To celebrate their achievement and boost their confidence, the awardees were presented with exclusive UPSA-branded souvenirs and generous cash prizes.
The monthly Best Dressed initiative is more than a fashion recognition programme; it is a strategic initiative by the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs aimed at inspiring, challenging, and promoting a culture of professionalism across campus. Since its inception, the initiative has contributed significantly to enhancing discipline and decency within the student body, ensuring that every UPSA student graduates with the professional edge synonymous with the university’s identity.
