UPSA’s Ms Ivy Heward-Mills, Director of the Centre for International Education and Collaboration (CIEC), has been named among the Top 10 Women in PR Ghana for 2025, earning national recognition for her outstanding contribution to strategic communication and institutional visibility.
The recognition, conferred by Women in PR Ghana as part of its annual initiative, honours female professionals whose work continues to shape strategic communication, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and enhance institutional and brand visibility.
For close to a decade, the initiative has spotlighted outstanding women in Ghana’s communications landscape, celebrating excellence, innovation and measurable impact across sectors.
Ms Heward-Mills earned her place among this year’s honourees through her sustained leadership and influence in strategic communication, international engagement and institutional visibility. With extensive experience in public relations, stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural communication, she has built a strong reputation for advancing thought leadership and enhancing organisational reputation.
In 2025, she further distinguished herself with two major accolades at the Ghana Executive Awards: PR Executive of the Year and the Outstanding Women in Leadership Award. These honours underscore her exceptional leadership, innovation and impact within the communications profession, while affirming the national regard for her contributions to strategic communication and institutional development.
President of Women in PR Ghana, Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny, described this year’s honourees as trailblazers redefining the profession through excellence, innovation and impact. She noted that the recognition not only celebrates individual achievement but also reflects the growing influence of women in shaping strategic communication across sectors.
