Vice-Chancellor calls on Management of Media General

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Prof. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, has paid a courtesy call on the management of Media General Ghana in Accra.

The visit was to express appreciation for the company’s partnership as the exclusive media partner for the 2025 UPSA Annual Leadership Lecture.

It also formed part of efforts to officially update Media General—operators of TV3, Onua TV, 3news, MG Digital, among other brands—on preparations for the lecture, which is scheduled for August 19, 2025.

The lecture will be delivered by H.E. Jacob Zuma, former President of South Africa, and is expected to attract leaders, policymakers, and industry experts from across the continent.

Discussions during the meeting also explored potential areas for collaboration between the two institutions, including staff training programs and internship opportunities for UPSA students.

Welcoming the UPSA delegation, Group Chief Executive Officer of Media General, Mrs Beatrice Agyemang, expressed optimism about strengthening ties with the university.

She commended UPSA for its remarkable transformation and stature as a leading academic institution in training highly skilled graduate professionals.

She noted that Media General is proud to count several UPSA alumni among its workforce, with others currently pursuing further studies at the university.

Mrs Agyemang reaffirmed Media General’s commitment to supporting UPSA’s initiatives.
