Dr. Mrs. Juliana Akushika Andoh, a lecturer and Faculty Research Officer at the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), has been appointed as a member of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Accelerated Export Development.
The committee, chaired by President John Dramani Mahama, is tasked with spearheading Ghana’s agenda to diversify and boost non-traditional exports as a pathway to sustainable economic growth.
It brings together professionals from academia, industry, and public institutions to advise on strategic export development policies and initiatives.
Dr. Andoh, a seasoned marketing and brand expert, brings to the committee a wealth of experience spanning over 17 years in both academia and corporate consultancy.
She has consulted extensively for several indigenous businesses and global organisations across industries such as real estate, export, mall and facility management, hospitality, FMCG, advertising, and financial services.
She holds a PhD and MPhil in Business Administration (Marketing option) from the University of Ghana Business School, with both theses focused on Export Development and Export Performance in Ghana’s non-traditional export sector.
She is also a Chartered Marketer and member of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) and the United Kingdom (CIM-UK).
At UPSA, Dr. Andoh lectures across PhD, master’s and undergraduate levels in Strategic Brands Management, International Marketing Management, Customer Relationship Management, Marketing of Financial Services, and other key marketing disciplines.
Her academic interests include export marketing, brand and relationship management, strategic and services marketing, and digital marketing. She also supervises research and develops academic modules.
Dr. Andoh is a co-founder of Build It Sisters Ltd. She is an alumna of the U.S. International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP), and is passionate about youth development, entrepreneurship, and women empowerment.
