The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Prof. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, joined the Muslim community on campus for a special Matriculation Jummah Service organised for newly admitted students.
The Friday Jummah Prayer, led by UPSA Imam, Dr. Idrissu Mustapha, brought together fresh students, faculty members, and staff to offer prayers and seek Allah’s divine guidance for the academic journey ahead.
Addressing the congregation, Prof. Mawutor emphasised the university’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students of all faiths.
He thanked the Muslim community for their continued support in shaping the university’s inclusive atmosphere, adding that the university will continue to prioritise the well-being and needs of all students and staff, regardless of their religious backgrounds.
The Vice Chancellor pledged that future matriculation Jummah services would be moved to a larger venue to accommodate more worshippers.
As part of the service, a special prayer was offered for the UPSA management, seeking wisdom and strength for leadership in steering the institution toward greater success.
