Nihad Titiaka Oases Ibrahim, a graduate and former student leader at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), has been crowned the winner of the 2024 edition of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) pageant.

Nihad, who is the immediate past Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Women’s Commissioner, made history by becoming the first hijab-wearing contestant to win the prestigious national competition, the grand finale of which took place on Sunday, October 6, at the National Theatre in Accra.

Throughout the competition, Nihad showcased exceptional professionalism and dedication to cultural diversity and social change, embodying the pageant’s mission to inspire young women to leverage their beauty, intellect, and leadership abilities.

In addition to the crown, Nihad was awarded a GHC15,000 cash prize, a brand-new vehicle, an international trip courtesy of Global Winds and Travel, a TECNO Phantom B2 smartphone, and a variety of other prizes from sponsors.

“As a former SRC Women’s Commissioner and the 2022 Face of UPSA, Nihad has consistently demonstrated a commitment to empowerment and advocacy,” said Dr. Philomena Dadzie, Dean of Students at UPSA.

“Her journey from UPSA to the GMB stage exemplifies the university’s commitment to nurturing leaders who can make a difference in society.”
