UPSA School of Graduate Studies hosts elegant dinner for 2024 Graduating Cohort

The School of Graduate Studies at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, has hosted a farewell dinner for its 2024 graduating cohort.

Dubbed the ‘Graduate Leavers’ Dinner,’ the glittering open-air event, which was held at the Rev J.K. Antwi Astroturf Park on Saturday, September 28, brought together the crème de la crème of the university’s faculty, staff, and students for a night of celebration, fine dining, music, and dance.

The night also provided a platform for high-spirited networking and camaraderie among peers and faculty while celebrating the achievements of graduating students who are now on the cusp of a new chapter.

The graduates engaged in conversations and reflected on their journeys at UPSA.

Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, Professor Samuel Antwi, delivering his welcome address at the 2024 Graduate Leavers’ Dinner.

 

Dean of the UPSA Graduate School, Prof Samuel Antwi, expressed his delight at the gathering, highlighting the significance of the event in fostering connections among students and faculty.

He encouraged graduates to seize the opportunity to network and build lasting relationships.

“This dinner is not just a celebration of your hard work and accomplishments,” Prof Antwi said.

“It is also a chance to connect with each other, share experiences, and create bonds that will last beyond your time at UPSA.”

The highlight of the night was the presentation of citations of appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Abednego Okoe Amartey and Prof Koryoe Anim-Wright, a former Registrar.

The Graduate Leavers Dinner was attended by Registrar, Mrs Lorraine Gyan as well as some senior faculty members, including deans, heads of departments, staff, and current students.
