GAUA-UPSA welcomes new leaders

The UPSA Chapter of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA-UPSA) has sworn in a new executive to lead the association for the next two years.

Leading the new executive is Mr. William Kuusori as President, with Mrs. Dinah Ayensu as Vice President.

Other members of the executive are Mr. Michael Avenorgbo (Secretary) and Mr. Nathaniel Nii Ahene Quao (Financial Secretary).

Their diverse skills and backgrounds are expected to contribute significantly to the ongoing success and development of GAUA-UPSA.

In his farewell address, the outgoing president, Mr. Samuel Seshie, expressed his gratitude to the members for the opportunity to serve and the unwavering support he enjoyed throughout his tenure.

He charged members to offer the same support to the new leadership in their efforts to advance the interests of GAUA-UPSA.

Mr. Seshie also urged the new leaders to prioritise following up on pending GAUA issues, especially the land acquisition project.

“It is time to forge forward as an association,” Mr Seshie remarked, encouraging continued dedication and collaboration among members.

The new president, William Kuusori, in his inaugural speech, thanked his predecessor for his selfless service and for elevating the association to new heights.

Mr Kuusori called on his fellow leaders to unite and work together, stressing the importance of unity in achieving the association’s goals.

“The past executives of our noble association have set high standards and achieved remarkable milestones,“ Mr Kuusori said.

“I am committed to upholding and building upon the legacy they have left us. This role of a leader is not one to be taken lightly. I acknowledge that it is a responsibility that requires vision, empathy, and unwavering dedication. I therefore pledge to give my best to this and serve with integrity and transparency.”
