Corporate Communications Students donate to Hopeway Ministries Orphanage

A group of MBA Corporate Communications students from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, have donated assorted items to the Hopeway Ministries Orphanage at Haatso in Accra.

The items included food, toiletries, and educational materials. The group also donated an undisclosed amount of cash to the orphanage.

The Head of the Department of Communications Studies, Dr. Adwoa Sikayena Amankwa, who led the delegation, explained that the gesture not only forms part of the students’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) course requirement but also provides an opportunity to put smiles on the faces of the less-privileged in society.

“As future leaders and communicators, it is essential to understand the value of compassion and social responsibility,” Dr Amankwah said.

“This project allowed our students to make a positive impact and experience the joy of giving. It also demonstrates their commitment to making a difference in their community.”

Founder and Executive Director of the Hopeway Ministries Ghana Orphanage, Pastor Reindorf Ashley, who received the items, thanked the students for their compassion and generosity towards the children.

He said the donation will go a long way towards meeting the day-to-day needs of the orphanage.
