A cocktail of education and festivities; cultural display, fashion, performance of national Anthems, dinner and dance reception is how the Center of International Education and Collaboration of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), marked the schools maiden International Students’ Day.

The annual event seeks to honor the University’s international students. The Centre also wants to use the occasion to raise awareness about the international community presence on campus.

The event which was put together by the Centre with the help of the Students’ Representative Council of the University was an opportunity for students to showcase their cultures while also learning about the cultural backgrounds of their colleagues.

The students each gave intriguing presentations about their home countries, playing their country’s national anthems and discussing various topics of interest including political affairs, special traditions, religious practices, and problems confronting their countries. There was also plenty of music, food and drinks for the students to celebrate the diversity of the community at the university under the distinguished leadership of the Center of International Education and Collaboration.
