UPSA Global Alumni Association lauds outstanding members for their contributions to the University

The Coordinator of the UPSA Global Alumni Association, Mr Francis Dadzie has paid a courtesy call on some selected alumni who have made significant contributions toward the growth and development of their alma mater, the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) in the year 2020.

The visits to their various offices was also to show appreciation to these outstanding individuals for their commitment towards activities of the Association and the University as a whole.

They were presented with Citations of Appreciation and UPSA-branded cloths.

Some of the personalities who were recognised included Brigadier General Fiifi Amissah, Defence Financial Controller of the Ghana Armed Forces; Mrs Emelia Derkyi, Director of Finance at the Ministry of Education; Mr Francis Nunoo, Director of Finance, Ministry of Roads as well as Mr Ernest Wiafe, Head of Internal Audit at the Ministry of Energy.

Speaking to UPSA Media after the week-long visitations, Mr Francis Dadzie noted that it was imperative that the Association recognised the efforts and contributions of its members who were going the extra mile in ensuring that the group grew from strength to strength.

“The backbone of every university is its alumni,” he said. “We are, therefore, committed to ensuring that the IPS/UPSA alumni association becomes as formidable and vibrant as other prominent global alumni groups we know of.”
